Eli von Emmenthal is a large 11 month old sable German Shepherd. The sables are bred in Germany for health and temperament. Eli has a very sound temperament and would be an ideal family dog. He met the active 6 year old son of one of our volunteers and he was very comfortable with him. Eli met a kitten, he was first afraid but then curious. He would need some supervision with a cat until they could be left alone. Eli is anxious to please and takes correction well. He walks right with you step by step, he hasn’t had much formal training but he is just a dog who is well connected to people and relates well. Eli is great with other dogs and enjoys playing. On a walk some little dogs rushed the fencing right near the sidewalk; Eli backed away and gave the angry little ones a wide berth. Eli is a spectacular dog. We have friends in the right places and got a call about Eli who was at the Camarillo Shelter. Someone lost something special.
